For more than 15 years, Erica Firpo curates a career on the overlap and nuances of journalism and digital media.  A packed punch of traditional journalism and passion for words with a keen and curious expertise in social and visual content, Erica is a regular contributor to publications including Fathom, Luxe City Guide Rome Expert, Meridian, Forbes Travel, Travel + Leisure, The Guardian, The Telegraph, WallPaper, Wine Enthusiast, CN Traveler, Hemispheres, American Way, Rhapsody, AFAR (Rome and Milan guides), and more.  As book author, Erica penned Rome Select (Insight Guides) Little Black Book Rome and Little Black Copenhagen, and has contributed to more than 10 Fodor's travel books on Rome and Italy.

With the flip of an iPhone, she voices #ExperienceRome, TurismoRoma and the City of Rome's social media campaign on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter in 2018.  From July 2014 to January 2017, Erica was the voice of Rome for BBC Travel as the Eternal City’s BBC Localite,  communicating with a Twitter and Instagram audience of over 1.2 million followers.  Since 2014, Erica, along with Darius Arya, have a volunteer collaboration with Italy's Ministry of Culture to help promote culture heritage via social media. She hosts workshops and panel discussions on Digital Storytelling, Travel and Culture for forums and brands including Temple University, Design Hotels, Mastercard Italia, Università degli Studi di Urbino and UNESCO/Comune di Alba.

In 2016, Erica was cited by Italy’s world-recognized newspaper La Repubblica as one of the top eight Digital Media Influencers in Italy, as well as one of the country’s of top ten Instagram pioneers.  In 2017, Peroni featured her in an in-depth interview discussing her travel writing and social media experience.
